    Each balm is handmade in small batches to preserve freshness and potency, using traditional blending methods. This ensures fresh, active formulas while minimising energy consumption during production and reducing our environmental footprint.

    Our manufacturing process produces no waste by-products.

    Every balm is formulated with luxurious organic plant butters, cold-pressed plant oils, therapeutic essential oils and antioxidant vitamins - all chosen to balance, nourish and support the skin.

    This commitment to purity means you’ll never find parabens, sulfates, petrochemicals, hydrogenated oils, artificial colours or fragrances, phthalates, or animal-derived ingredients in any of the Magic 9 Balm formulations.

  • WATERLESS & 100% ACTIVE

    Formulated without water, each use nurtures the skin with rich, plant-powered extracts that absorb beautifully and work quickly.

    Unlike creams, which are heated to high temperatures and often rely on synthetic emulsifiers, Magic 9 Balm contains only pure plant extracts, gently blended at optimal temperatures to preserve their potency.

    Traditional blending methods ensure every ingredient retains its full effectiveness, giving each jar a highly concentrated, potent formula.

  • DID YOU KNOW 💡

    Water adds no nutritional value to a skincare product….it simply dilutes the formula and means more packaging is needed to accommodate a larger volume.

    The skin cannot absorb water in its pure form, so any water in a product simply evaporates on the skin.

ETHICAL SUPPLIERS

Magic 9 Founder, Fiona, is dedicated to sourcing ingredients ethically and transparently.

We work with small suppliers, most of them family-run businesses, who favour responsible, community-based production. This ensures the journey from farm to jar aligns with our values of sustainability and fair practices.

For example, the organic Shea Butter used in the balm is produced by a women’s cooperative in Ghana, supporting local communities and helping us build meaningful, long-term supplier relationships.

Wherever possible, I choose ingredients with provenance and purpose.

Our Highland Pine essential oil is distilled from trees growing in the ancient Caledonian Forests of Scotland - a rare and precious ecosystem.

While most Scots Pine essential oil is sourced from Eastern Europe, I intentionally choose this Scottish oil for its purity, sustainability, and deep connection to the landscape that inspires my work.

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING & WASTE REDUCTION

  • MINIMAL PACKAGING

    In our efforts to reduce plastic waste, we use glass jars for our products.

    Glass is not only recyclable, but also preserves the luxurious, active formula.

    By eliminating unnecessary product boxes, we aim to minimise packaging waste and reduce our carbon footprint.

  • RECYCLING AND RE-USE

    Glass is endlessly recyclable, making it one of the most sustainable packaging choices available.

    Our glass jars and lids can be recycled in your household recycling. Please remove the label before recycling and dispose of it in general waste. NB - we are currently testing a compostable label.

    All postal packaging is recyclable in household recycling waste, and we also re-use additional packing materials from our suppliers whenever possible.
