FIONA'S AROMATHERAPY NOTES

  • BLENDS BEAUTIFULLY WITH

Pine has a fresh, clearing scent and works well with similar aroma profiles, such as Peppermint or Eucalyptus - for an invigorating, cleansing scent, ideal for easing, and preventing cold symptoms.

Or, blend Pine with Black Pepper and Sweet Orange - for a warming blend.
Try 2 drops of each in 10ml of Sunflower Oil, added to warm bath.

Or - you could simply add a teaspoon of the Balm (as it has all those oils in the blend!).

  • HOME SCENTING TIP

Add a few drops to some dried pine cones, along with Marjoram and Lavender, for a fresh, soothing scent.

Keep the pine cones in a ceramic or wooden bowl, as neat essential oils can affect painted surfaces.

  • WELLBEING NOTES

If you, or your family, have a cold or flu - diffusing Pine, Eucalyptus and Lavender will help clear the airways, but also help prevent further spread of germs, as all the oils have strong antibacterial properties.

Refresh/top up the diffuser every hour for maximum benefits.

If you don't have a diffuser you can add 2 drops of each into a small bowl of hot water, and refresh every hour.

This blend is also great on a tissue by your pillow, when you have a cold.

HISTORICAL USE

Used Through the Ages

For centuries pine trees have symbolised hope, eternal life and joy.

The tradition of bringing evergreen pine branches into the home, goes back thousands of years to pagan celebrations of winter solstice.

Pine resin was used in ancient Egyptian embalming practices for its antiseptic and preservative properties. The woody and warming scents, associated with Egyptian tombs, is said to come from resins of pine, cedar and juniper.

Today, pine trees are a traditional symbol of Christmas 🎄
